Established in 2006, the Swedish company Advectas has succeeded in taking an impressing market position within the combination of competence concerning business processes and interfaces related to Business Intelligence (BI). The company currently has a total of 50 BI consultants distributed across offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Oslo. “The partnership with Advectas is both important and exciting for Merit Globe, as this puts the two companies in a market leading position within BI expertise. Together, Merit and Advectas serve more than 300 Nordic region customers who have a need for BI and business solutions. Evidently, this agreement opens up new possibilities for both parties,” says Managing Director of Merit, Erik Outzen. The Advectas portfolio includes 120 customers and more than 200 completed projects. The company’s customer list includes a number of exciting players, such as OKQ8 (Sweden’s leading petrol company), Cermaq (leading international company within salmon and trout feed production), Mio (leading company within furniture and home interior), Mölnlycke (leading producer and supplier of sterile products for the health care industry), and Folksam, Sweden’s leading insurance company. “We have great expectations for this partnership. Merit and Advectas complement each other in an optimal manner, and together we can offer our customers high quality services. In my opinion, the partnership will generate more business for both parties, both in the Nordic region and in the rest of Northern Europe. Moreover, Advectas has customers in other parts of Europe, the US, South America and Australia. Cooperating with them may prove to be exciting for Merit,” says CEO of Advectas, Stefan Olsson. Merit Globe have great ambitions to grow, and aspire to become leading within their field in Northern Europe. In March, they acquired the Danish company next-move AS. “We consider the Nordic region a homogenous market, which makes it both natural and important to ensure our presence in Denmark. We look forward to benefiting from the high levels of competence and longstanding experience that next-move has achieved in the Danish market. Several of our customers have their foundation in the Nordic region, and our cooperation with Advectas from Sweden and acquisition of next-move from Denmark will be a great advantage for them. This also makes us one of few suppliers of complete business solutions with a local presence in the total Scandinavian market,” says Managing Director of Merit Globe, Erik Outzen.
